Gavin Perry is here!!!!!!!!!He came three days late after the threat of eviction by induction. I went into labor on Friday, May 30th at 12:25 AM and he was born at 2:37 AM. He wasted no time. It was so quick that my epidural didn't have time to take full effect, so needless to say, I felt more of his birth than desired. He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 22 inches long. He is doing well and Mac has done better than we anticipated, which will hopefully continue. His middle name is my dad's middle name and my granny's maiden name and his first name we just liked and it went well with his middle name.
I took Gavin to the doctor today, Tuesday, to check his weight (I'm nursing him) and he was already 8lbs 5 oz! The expectation is that they will get back up to their birth weight by the time they are two weeks old, so Gavin surprised us all and I'm no longer concerned about how the nursing is going.
