Pumpkin Carving

Lily enjoyed laying around in the grass as we diligently worked on carving our pumpkin.

Mac is ready with his tools.

Mac is supervising Daddy as he cuts the top off.

Gavin also supervises as Daddy is carving out the picture.

*Note: If you haven't tried one of the CHEAP carving workbooks with the tools included....DON"T. We happened to get one for free, so we let Mac pick out the picture. Our little 30 minute project turned into a 2 hour project. Both of the included saw tools broke and Michael ended up using his Swiss Army knife saw tool. What a pain! But as always, Daddy was bound and determined to finish what we started.

We think he did a great job! If you can't tell what it is, it's a boy peeking out over his covers in his bed and there is an eye looking in through the window at him.

Mac would not help up "gut" the inside of the pumpkin (Gavin was still napping). You would think that he would think it was so cool, but not ole' Mac.
