Tree issues:
1) I broke the tip off (whoops!). I tried to glue it with wood glue and reinforece with duct tape. Michael then took over and used super glue and it is still standing!
2) I put my hand in the tree and touched something squishy that wasn't normal. We were afraid something was going to jump out at us like the squirrel in Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. Michael put on gloves, used a small garden shovel and I held the plastic bag while he got it out of the tree...still not sure what it was. Almost like an attempt at a bird's nest using dead animal fur?!
3) Checked all lights before putting them on the tree. 2 hours later and one strand to go, checked the tree and 1/2 of two strands of lights were out. AAGGGHH!!!!! Had to go buy more lights and restring two strands of lights. Oh, the things we do for tradition and Christmas!
