Thanks to Pinterest, we found this fun Lava Lamp experiment to try. The boys thoroughly enjoyed it. We filled the bottle more than half full of vegetable oil, then added water leaving an inch and a half empty at the top. Next we put in 10 drops of food coloring and then broke Alka Seltzer tabs into fourths and added one at a time. We put another one in after the bubbling stopped. We've already used a whole box of Alka Seltzer and they want me to get more the next time I'm out and about.
