New Things and Macisms

In the last few weeks, Gavin FINALLY got his first tooth, started commando crawling and says, "mama."

Macisms:
  • he fell down, waved his hand in the air and said, "I'm okay, I just broke my leg."
  • Mac ran after me when I went out to clean up Lily's poo in the common area in our neighborhood and didn't tell Michael he was going. I asked him if he had told Daddy, he said yes. Turns out, he didn't tell Daddy, so we had to get on him for this bad behavior. At the dinner table he said, "Mommy, be quiet. I'm going to pray." I obliged. Here is his prayer, "Jesus, I'm sorry I ran away from Daddy. Please forgive me." Needless to say, I teared up and was so proud of him. God has his way of letting us know that our kids really are catching on and understanding what we are teaching them.
  • To make a LONG story short, Michael backed into a tree the other week. This morning as Michael was heading out the door for work, Mac says, "Daddy, be careful. Don't hit the tree." I laugh. He then looks at me and says, "Don't laugh, Mommy. It's not funny."
