Grandmama came one weekend to watch Mac wrestle (and as you can see, I took so many pictures of her....sorry Grandmama!). While she was here we went into our backyard and caught fireflys. The boys had a great time cheering on the 3 adults while we did the chasing and catching and the boys held their bug box/jar.
Needless to say, they quit lighting up once they were captured. Each boy had 4 fireflys. I'm sorry to report that out of the 8, only 2 made it through the night and we let those 2 go in the morning. Please don't report us for animal cruelty. Boys can't help it that they love bugs!

PS- we call them lightening bugs in the south pronounced liightnin' bugs. PPS- how does that saying go if you love them let them go?
